Oops! On Saturday I got so excited about the new items I forgot to tell you all the gossip!

Firsty, Old Spitalfields Market (where our primary shop is based) has won the Time Out award for Best Fashion Market, beating Portobello Road and Camden amongst others. Although there are already many diverse shops and stalls here selling everything you could possibly imagine, hopefully it’ll bring more designers our way and shopping here will be as exciting as Camden or Kensington in their heyday.

Partly because we adore our larger and far more opulent boutique in Spitalfields so much, and partly because the lease is expiring, we are planning to close our Camden shop and focus on our main store for the time being – we haven’t made any fixed plans yet so I don’t want to get you all excited, but all you corsetry fans in West London, you may not have to travel all the way across London in the future to get your FairyGothMother fix. But that’s all I’m allowed to say for now ;)

Also, you may want to head down to our Camden shop before the 15th of June (when we are closing there for good) as we have tons of stock at massively reduced prices, in addition to our online clearance sale!

Vollers brand new collection is now online , featuring new corsets (of course) but also new for 2008 a chiffon blouse that works brilliantly under corsets, and a range of formal skirts. Newest corset in the vollers family is the v1808 , higher cut than any of their other corsets this corset works wonders on larger busts, and those of us who prefer to show a little less. Available in black velvet , black and silver orchid silk or gorgeous red embroidered taffeta , reaction in the shop makes us think this is going to be a best seller!
