.. Professionally since 1997. 2) How did you develop your corset making skills? Through trial and error while I was at fashion college. 3) What made you decide to specialize in corsets? Corsets decided for me when fetish shops continuously ordered stock from me. 4) Where do you get your inspiration? From raw materials like fabric, leather and trims. 5) Do you have any fabrics or techniques that you like working with most? I have what they call a "heavy hand" when it comes to sewing so I prefer to work with thick materials like leather. With leather, I use a walking foot industrial machine and can really pump up the detail with extra heavy stitching. 6) When designing for bespoke customers what process do you go through? Figure out individual needs, help decide on best materials, gather proper measurements either in person or remotely, draft a customized corset pattern, make a muslin mock-up and have it fitted on the customer. Mark any adjustments needed onto the muslin and from there the pattern is finalized and the perfect corset is made. 7)Who is your favourite designer and why? Vivienne Westwood because she is a true designer. She does not follow trends and designs from her own life and surroundings. 8) What did you want to be when you were younger? An assassin.
Trashy reality TV shows, online shopping and an open bottle of wine. 10) Lastly we at Lulu and Lush love cupcakes, what is your naughty treat? Fried chicken.
