How do I buy a wedding dress in London?

1. When should I start looking for my wedding dress?

We recommend you book in for an appointment 9-18 months before your wedding date.

2. Book an initial fitting appointment.

Here you will have the opportunity to try on samples in various shapes and fabrics to help you decide what style of wedding dress you might like. As this process involves pinning and fitting dresses to you we only see one bride at a time.

3. Decide on your wedding dress style.

Once you have decided on a style, we can then work with you with fabric samples, if appropriate to adapt your choice to suit you. Perhaps our sample wedding dress is in Ivory and you always dreamed of a silver-grey wedding dress.

4. Order your dress.

Final decisions. At this point measurements are taken, and you can place an order for your dress. You choose your colours, fabrics and length at this point and production will start once your deposit if placed.

5. Your dress is ready. Yay!

Your dress will generally be ready for you in around 6 months. It is sometimes possible to make your gown more quickly and we can discuss this before you place your order. At this point you will have another appointment to try on your dress. You may need to allow an additional 4-6 weeks for final alterations and styling if necessary. You can then take your wedding dress home!
